Description
Neolt LAYLAM 165 50°C Pneumatic Laminator (NL165LY):
Combines innovation and high performance at a very economical price. The Laylam series is in fact designed and built to adapt to the widest range of applications, from vehicle wrapping to interior decoration and paper converting, to expand to the most diverse applications of visual communication and sign-making.
Thanks to the use of pneumatic technology, the Laylam series of laminators reduces machine setup and preparation times and therefore the need to employ specialized personnel. Contrary to laminators with electric pressure technology, the possibility of error in calculating the thickness is eliminated.
Models available include 50°C and 120°C roller systems. Please refer to the "Other related models" tab for more information.
Maximum working width: 1650mm
MAIN FEATURES:
- ECO-SUSTAINABLE The air pressure system requires much lower energy consumption compared to electric motors.
- SELF-ADAPTIVE Independent pistons automatically adjust to different thicknesses and the manages the flatness defects of the substrate. The rollers get adapted to the surface in real time.
- FLEXIBLE it's possible to pre-set the pressure applied to each substrate. Once the material is placed is always possible to make adjustments to the pressure.
- ADDITIONAL OPTIONS / ACCESSORIES Please refer to "Options/Accessories" Tab for full list.

"COLD" Lamination VS "HOT" Lamination
COLD LAMINATION ADVANTAGES:
- Requires less maintenance and set-up time, inexpensive, and easier to use.
- pressure from the rollers of a cold laminator will remove the unsightly bubbles that sometimes occur with a laminate.
- In general, colours and quality of the printed document are typically better in comparison. The heat of a hot laminator can cause colours to bleed or degrade.
- Excellent option for adhesive decorations and decals because only one side of a graphic can be laminated.
HOT LAMINATION ADVANTAGES:
- Provides more durable protection and typically a faster laminate job.
- Additional laminating applications including a variety of heat settings.
- Materials used in a hot laminator generally cost much less than the materials used in a cold laminator.
- The high heat generated by a hot laminator can damage some materials, inks, and colours. To protect documents from the impact of heat, special plastic laminates can be used.
- It may take some time and experience to master the skill of using a hot laminator successfully. If the users are not careful, the heating elements can cause serious danger to them.
