HP 81 dye ink cartridges and printheads are designed to work with the HP Designjet 5000 & 5500 series printers to provide the ultimate in photo-quality production printing.  Six specially formulated, dye-based ink colours deliver the smoothest colour transitions and wide colour gamuts.  Additionally, the high-capacity 680ml ink cartridges are ideal for overnight or unattended production printing.

The HP 81 dye printheads with a 1" print swath feature a built-in smart chip which constantly monitors ink cartridge levels and let you know when it's time to replace.  You can monitor the status of your printing supplies using the HP Designjet web-access tool, the printer display panel, or the printer dialogue screen, so you never have to guess about the status of your supplies.

Designed for professional print service providers (bureaus, photo labs, repro houses, sign shops, screen printers and more), quick printers, copy shops and in-house graphic professionals (agencies, design studios and corporate design departments).

Ensures a low cost per page, because printheads are separate and have to be less frequently replaced than cartridges. Embedded HP Smart Technology constantly monitors and maximises performance, providing user alerts when printheads need to be replaced.
